Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Nicholas A. Ball of Linden, NC has created a freezable vaginal insert intended to reduce hot flashes, discomfort, or swelling. As women enter menopause, their body undergoes some physiological changes. The most common symptom of menopause? Hot flashes. While unbearable any time of day, these hot flashes may also happen at night making it difficult to sleep. Although ice packs can be used or cool clothing can be worn, it is usually not enough. After speaking with someone affected by hot flashes, Nicholas just knew there had to be a better solution. In turn, he was inspired to develop the Pause Pop!The invention consists of a series of six cylindrical containers filled with a freezable non-toxic gel. Each cylinder or pop is held in a storage stand and placed in a freezer. At the end of each pop is a flexible handle for easy insertion and removal of the device. When an insert becomes warm, a user will simply remove it and replace it with another one from the storage stand. Used pops are then carefully cleaned and frozen for reuse. Various sizes are possible to accommodate all users. Want to learn more about the Pause Pop?
