Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Ronald Marshall of Canada has developed a specially designed chute to efficiently drain oil from small engines without the mess!Frustrated with oil spills during his work as a machinist, Ronald knew there had to be a better way. In turn, he was inspired to create the Oil Chute: a mess-free solution to an age-old problem faced by mechanics and do-it-yourselfers alike. But how does it work? The invention consists of a metal plate bent into a channel with a U or V shape, or a combination of both. Simply place the wide end under the drain plug or oil filter, and the narrow end over a drain pan. The middle section of the chute spans over wheels, suspension components, frames, and other potentially messy obstacles. This prevents oil from getting on the machine or the floor. After the oil has drained, the device can be quickly removed, wiped clean, and reused. Its compact design allows for easy storage in a toolbox drawer until needed again. The Oil Chute is now ready for market! Want to learn more?
