Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Chris A. Fix of Harwood, ND has developed a kitchen sink with a hinged center divider.Frustrated with his two-sided sink that could not accommodate large cookware that needed washed by hand, an idea was born. Wishing to retain the functionality of separate wash and rinse areas, while also fitting bigger items, Chris thought, “Why not have both?” In turn, he was inspired to create the Kitchen Sink for Everything! But how does it work? Imagine first washing smaller dishes in a two-sided set up, then when it comes time to wash the bigger items, simply swing the center divider out of the way while you still have water in the sink. This combines the two sides into one large basin that is already filled with soapy water. Now, not only do you have the needed room to wash oversized items, but you can use the existing water, eliminating the need to run your faucet continuously as you finish up the dishes. Imagine the flexibility and the water savings! The Kitchen Sink for Everything is now ready for market! Want to learn more?
