Story Behind the Invention

Inventors Darren Gripp and Jessie Gripp of Oshkosh, WI have created a pre-made concrete and epoxy paver with an extended lifespan.

Their inspiration for creating ConoXXy stemmed from their experiences in the patio installation business. After completing numerous patios, Darren and Jessie repeatedly encountered issues with worn-out surfaces and broken bricks.

Determined to overcome these challenges, they aimed to develop a brick with enhanced durability and a fresh appearance that would last long after installation. Their goal was simple: to offer a paving solution that outperformed the wear and tear they commonly observed.

Through extensive trials, they discovered that incorporating epoxy into the concrete blend significantly improved its strength and longevity. By adding vinyl flakes and a thin layer of epoxy on top, they achieved not only the durability they desired, but also a consistently fresh look, surpassing the short-lived aesthetics of traditional bricks.

With a specially formulated blend that incorporates UV-resistant epoxy and colorful vinyl flakes, it is built to withstand the elements and maintain its vibrant appearance over time.
