Inventors Sheri Urlacher, Tina Gonnella, and Akram Humaideh of Illinois have developed individually packaged, presoaked aloe vera towels for sunburns.

Spring break in Florida in 2023 brought Sheri an unexpected challenge: a painful sunburn that aloe vera couldnt fully relieve, as it absorbed too quickly. Refusing to let it ruin their plans, Sheri, Tina, and Akram got creative. They soaked paper towels in aloe vera and applied them to her burned skin for a soothing, cooling effect. This improvised solution sparked an idea. After finding no suitable products in stores, they created the Vera Wrap. Now its ready for market!
