Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Donnie C. Minor, Jr. of Fort Pierce, FL has developed a window planter that attaches to the lower edge of a hurricane cover track on a window.

One Sunday morning, Donnie and his wife were outside enjoying a cup of coffee and listening to the birds sing. While looking at their herbs and flowers in pots on the ground, an idea came to Donnie. He thought it would be ideal if he could mount the herbs outside the kitchen window, so his wife could easily access them without having to go outside every time she cooks or needs a fresh herb. In turn, he was inspired to create the On Track Planter!

The invention does more than just beautify your window with herbs and fragrant blooms. By attaching it to the lower edge of a hurricane cover track, this product transforms an otherwise unattractive feature into a vibrant display of nature and curb appeal. No longer will you have to bear the sight of stark, exposed tracks. Instead, you can enjoy the beauty of fresh herbs and flowers right at your window, while subtly concealing the unsightly aspect of your window’s protective system. Should hurricane covers need to be installed, the invention can be easily removed until later.
