Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Roberta D. Erickson of Canada has created a new protective cover for a shopping cart handle! The idea was born while shopping and observing other shoppers scratching their body or rubbing their eyes, nose, and mouth with their hands before touching a shopping cart handle. While the spread of germs has always been a concern, the pandemic has shown us that protecting ourselves from germs and illness must be a top priority. This is especially true in stores that see customer after customer each day. In turn, Roberta was inspired to develop the Buggy Bud! Users will simply place the invention on a shopping cart handle and go about their shopping. When finished, pinch and lift the device off the cart handle, fold the contaminated side in, and insert it into the attached bag. Close and tie the bag to contain contamination and then put it into your purse or bag, until it can be washed for reuse. This item will also protect a child riding in the cart when touching or placing their mouth on the handle. Want to learn more about the Buggy Bud?
