Inventor Shelton developed this clever innovation which visibly and externally provides the status as to whether or not the driver or the occupants of a motor vehicle are wearing safety seatbelts. When a vehicles occupants are seated with the engine on and fail to securely engage their seatbelts, an illuminated indication symbol becomes visible in the center brake light lens. The symbol indicates which occupied seats do not have their seatbelts engaged. When the occupant fastens their seatbelt, the indication symbol is extinguished. The seatbelt indicator has a unique design, making it easily recognizable.
The use of the Rear Brake Light with Seatbelt Indicator will encourage personal safety while traveling in motor vehicles by making it easier for law enforcement officers to identify those not wearing seatbelts.
