Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Ryland C. Bellamy, Sr. of Church Hill, TN has designed a bottle cap opening aid for those with limited handgrip.
Sometimes a bottle cap is just being difficult. If you are dealing with arthritis though, or if your strength just isnt what it used to be, opening bottle caps can be an everyday issue. Its not only frustrating, it can take away a persons level of independence and dignity. Bellamy, who deals with rheumatoid arthritis, just knew there had to be another way. In turn, he developed Rys Bottle Popper!
This clever new assistive device features a tapered hole that is placed over a bottle cap. With slight downward pressure, users will simply twist the Popper to the left to loosen the cap for removal. It is that easy! The invention can be used on 1-liter, 2-liter, 16 or 20-ounce soda or water bottles.
